Tocotrienols are naturally occuring relatives of tocopherols, the many components of the complex commonly known as Vitamin E. Tocotrienols have important roles in the regulation of blood lipid levels, cell mitosis and as water and fat soluble antioxidants. Rice bran oil extracts are especially rich in gamma-tocotrienol.
