Beta-glucan is a carbohydrate derived form the cell walls of yeast its ability to stimulate immunity, fight all types of infections, lower cholesterol, and inhibit or reverse cancer progression are well established. In clinical studies, effective doses fell into the following ranges: -Immune enhancement: 2 mg/kg/day (46 mg for each 50 lbs of bodyweight); - Anti-cancer: 2-60 mg/kg/day (46-1364 mg for each 50 lbs of bodyweight); - Lowering cholesterol: 46 mg/kg/day (1045 mg for each 50 lbs of bodyweight).

Beta-glucan's potency is enhanced by taking it with vitamin C.
