Ribose will temporarily depress blood sugar several points for an hour after ingestion. This is usually sub-clinical. However, it is recommended Ribose be taken with food, juice or around meal time to avoid potential symptoms of hypoglycemia. Drink at least 16-32 ounces of additional water per day when using this or any type of Creatine. Discontinue use two weeks prior to surgery.
